The first annual Sprint & Splash at Lake St. Clair will be held on June 9th, 2012 at Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township, MI. The event will begin with a Duathlon, a race that will combine two sports: running (5 kilometers) and kayaking (5 kilometers). Shortly after the start of the Duathlon will be a 5K Fun Run and Walk. Paddle For MS a Huge Success

On Saturday August 7th, Mike Sandusky and fellow lake surfer Grant Kennedy set out on an exhausting 65 km paddle from Hamilton to Ashbridges Bay in Toronto to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis awareness and research. It took the pair 13 hours, 39 minutes and 57 seconds to complete the trek.

Not only were Mike and Grant successful on their paddle, but they managed to smash their original fundraising…

I took over 500 pics and then narrowed them down to about 300 then processed them for the last three days in Adobe Lightroom. Brought the 300 in for printing as 5 x 7 inch prints as there is no way that many should be posted here. I am posting about 60 as it is which is nuts but here goes...

I will have the albums of prints with me in the car whereever I go so if anyone asks I can show them a more complete set. Some are just ok because it was pretty dull but the sun did shine on a lot and those are always better pictures.

I guess in the afternoon it picked up again? Dunno. It was big and mean! but the waves were rolling in nice and clean. Lots of ice chunks though. Everything at bluffers park is iced up, so it was a pain in the butt to walk around for an entry point. However, at the cove we found a perfect entrance ice-free. we just had to paddle a bit longer than usual to get to the waves.

Im going out today too. after 12. are you coming out?
