A place for Great Lakes surfers to connect

Wow, can't believe I found such a killer web site. I'm new to hangin on the computer and kinda wondering what I've been missing. I'm a 38 year young female that bought a 9'2" hawk a while back on an impulse after tryn surfing in myrtle beach. I have always loved the water fresh or salt doesn't matter. Just give me the sweet blue nector of mother nature and I'm happy. I haven't given a lot of actual time to the passion of being on my board until now. My life is takeing a turn where I need to find my happiness again. So now I get more wipe outs than hang time, but I can handle it if I can reach my goal. So if anyone has any tips or invites for a fun loving girl that wants to meet new people and learn some things, please chat me back. Thanks for giving me a chance by reading this, later.

you clearly chose the best time to start surfing in the Great Lakes! Best time to learn is Fall and Spring. WInter time is the best time for waves but if you are not sure of what you are doing stay out of the water. Winter surfing is extremely risky for those with experience, now just imagine how dangerous it is for someone learning to surf.

Anyway, where is it that you live so you can go to a spot nearby?!
